Wednesday, November 18th Bethany Baptist Church invites you to come and hear three different ways that Bethany friends have successfully lost weight & learn how you can begin your own plan to live well. Wednesday, November 18th through Saturday, November 21st Duluth Gospel Tabernacle will present “Love Sent a Wonderful Life”, a Christian adaptation of the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”, Nov 18th through Nov 21st. Performances will be at 7 pm Wed through Sat & at 2 pm on Sun. There is no admittance charge. A free will offering will be taken. Friday, November 20th Northbay will present an evening of praise & worship featuring their various worship groups. There is no cost for the event, however everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for distribution to food shelves in the Duluth-Superior area. Saturday, November 21st Anchor Point Community Church will host “A Day to Create”, a time to gather together to work on your favorite activity & fellowship with others as you create, on Sat, Nov 21st from 9 am to 3 pm with a noon potluck. Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd Nathan Rasmussen, a Cloquet native who has served for 26 years as a missionary in Tanzania, East Africa, will be at Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle with his family the weekend of Nov 21st to tell about their recent efforts to develop & deploy African Christians to take the message to tribal groups who have never heard it. Monday, November 23rd First Baptist Church of Aurora will hold their annual Wild Game Feed on Mon, Nov 23rd at 5:30 pm. Special guest will be Lloyd Mattson, of Duluth, who has a wonderful gift of storytelling weaving the Gospel message into his many ventures. There is no charge. A free will offering will be collected. Tuesday, November 24th An Ecumenical Thanksgiving service, sponsored by Hermantown area churches, will be held at Pike Lake Community Presbyterian Church on Tues, Nov 24th at 7 pm followed by a pie social. Cash donations & food shelf offerings will be shared between the Hermantown & Proctor Food shelves. Tuesday, November 24th A Thanksgiving service will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Tues, Nov 24th at 7 pm. Wednesday, November 25th There will be a Thanksgiving Eve Service held at First Lutheran Church on Wed, Nov 25th at 7 pm. Thursday, November 26th The 20th Annual Thanksgiving Buffet, sponsored by The College of Saint Scholastica and the Twin Ports community, will be served from 11 am to 4 pm Thursday, Nov. 26, at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC). Turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be provided free of charge to an estimated 3,000 guests who are in need or would otherwise be alone on the holiday. Everyone is welcome to the meal. Buffets also will be available again this year in Cloquet and Two Harbors. In Cloquet, dinner will be served from 11 am to 2 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1000 Washington Ave. In Two Harbors, dinner will be served from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 227 Third Street. Sunday, November 29th The “Awake and Alive Tour” featuring Skillet with Decyfer Down, Hawk Nelson and the Letter Black will be in concert on Sun, Nov 29th at 6 pm at the DECC Auditorium in Duluth. Sunday, November 29th Free Pancake Breakfast and Service hosted by Abundant Life Tabernacle, located at 5919 Bristol St in Duluth MN. Wednesday, December 9th “Tangled Blue”, a Christian Duo, will present a free concert on Wed, Dec 9th at 6:30 pm at St Matthews Lutheran Church in Esko. Saturday, February 27th The 1st annual Father/Daughter Ball in Kettle River will be held at the West Side Church on Sat, Feb 27th from 5 to 10 m.
