20th Annual Thanksgiving Buffet
Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center, 350 Harbor Drive, Duluth, MN

The 20th Annual Thanksgiving Buffet, sponsored by The College of Saint Scholastica and the Twin Ports community, will be served from 11 am to 4 pm Thursday, Nov. 26, at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC). Turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be provided free of charge to an estimated 3,000 guests who are in need or would otherwise be alone on the holiday. Everyone is welcome to the meal.

Buffets also will be available again this year in Cloquet and Two Harbors. In Cloquet, dinner will be served from 11 am to 2 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1000 Washington Ave. In Two Harbors, dinner will be served from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 227 Third Street.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve meals. To find our more or to volunteer, contact:

In Duluth: Volunteers are invited to sign up online for shifts (Monday-Friday). Go to www.css.edu/thanksgiving.xml For more information, contact Gail Hanson at 218-625-4409.

In Cloquet: Call Volunteer Services of Carlton County at 218-879-9238 to volunteer for shifts on Wednesday (food prep and set-up) and Thursday (food preparation, transportation, service and cleanup).

In Two Harbors: Call Gerri Lampart at 218-834-2972 (day) or 218-834-2380 (evening). Volunteers are needed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Home-Delivered Meals:
Homebound persons in the Duluth-Cloquet-Superior area who would like to request home-delivered meals should call 218-723-6484 by noon Monday Nov 23. For the Cloquet area, residents living 10 miles or more outside Cloquet are invited to call 218-879-9238.

DTA Bus Service Information:
The Duluth Transit Authority will again offer free transportation to and from the buffet at the DECC. Continuous bus transportation will be available throughout the day from 24th Ave East to 57th Ave West. Call 722-SAVE (722-7283) for times.

To-go meals will also be distributed to diners at the DECC (each lunch bag will contain a turkey sandwich, fruit, cookie and drink).
